My Rolex Story
“The days are long, but the years are short.” The dean of my medical school loved to utter this statement as motivation for my fellow students and me in times of stress. It’s a simple sentence that carries profound significance for me and has cemented itself in my psyche. It’s an homage to the idea that hard work, perseverance, and most importantly, perspective can get you through anything. My name is Kasra Sarhadi, and I am a 28-year-old resident physician at the University of Washington in Seattle. Ever since I was six years old, I set my mind on becoming a physician to impact the world and those around me in a positive way.
